Why Giving Water is the Best Act of Kindness

Why Giving Water is the Best Act of Kindness

Water is an essential part of the human body which is required for the functioning of the organs. Drinking water is necessary for all human beings.

And we made every living thing of water. Will they not then believe?” (Quran 21:30).

IMPORTANCE OF WATER

Water is mentioned several times in the holy Quran. It keeps the organs healthy and purifies the body and the soul. Wudu (ablution) is done with water, which highlights its ultimate importance, as prayer is not valid without wudu.

WATER – A BLESSING OF ALLAH

Water is a blessing from Allah, from its multipurpose uses which include regulating the body temperature, absorbing nutrients, and excreting waste. It is necessary for all living beings’ survival and in order to stay clean.

BENEFITS OF GIVING WATER TO OTHERS

Everyone should be able to have drinking water. There are people around the world who do not have access to clean and safe drinking water. You can help them by supporting the Global Quran Project with our mission to provide the people in need with water. This simple act of kindness of gifting water to others can be a source of great blessings for us on the Day of Judgment. You can also donate water as Sadqah jaariyah for your deceased family members or relatives.

Sa’d ibn ‘Ubadah reported: I said, “O Messenger of Allah, my mother has died. Shall I give charity on her behalf?” The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Yes.” I said, “Which charity is best?” The Prophet said, “A drink of water.”
