PREPARING FOR THE MONTH OF RAMADAN
Start the month with the intention of fasting and doing maximum good deeds. Prepare for Ramadan by setting realistic goals for the month and dividing them across the whole month, such as daily and weekly goals. These may be different for every person but the rewards you can get in this month are countless.
REWARDS THAT YOU CAN GET IN RAMADAN
1. Increase in Worship
Starting with the basics of the month. You need to plan your day around praying and increasing in acts of worship. The month of Ramadan has a special night prayer known as Taraweeh. This is an excellent way to get the most rewards and dedicate the majority of time to praying to Allah, apart from the 5 daily prayers and Tahajjud – another special night prayer.
2. Giving Charity
Giving charity or providing food to those fasting during Ramadan is the best way to multiply your good deeds. Giving charity can be in different forms such as daily necessities, cooked meals for iftar, money, or even a Quran gift. Give to the poor and those as an act of kindness and a way to earn abundant rewards.
3. Reflect and Seek Repentance
Use the sacred month of Ramadan as a time for reflecting on your past year, and making changes for the present and future. Start with small changes and adopt them into your daily life. Seek repentance from Allah for your sins and the ability to stop doing them in the future.
4. Reading Quran
Reading the Quran is a highly rewarded act, especially in the month of Ramadan. Take time to recite a few pages of the Quran daily. Seek the knowledge of the Quran by reading its translation so you can understand and implement the words of Allah.
5. Make the Most of the Last Ten Nights
The last ten nights of Ramadan are the blessed nights of the month that you should benefit from. increase your worship, duas and forgiveness in these last days. additionally, you need to be mindful of the odd nights for Layal-tul-Qadr and specifically the blessed night of the 27th of Ramadan when the holy Book of the Quran was revealed.

6. Performing Umrah
Lastly, if you are able to perform Umrah during Ramadan, you should do so. It is a highly rewarded act and an ideal way for the expiation of sins, especially in the holy month.
